So... what is On Broadway?

On Broadway started as a common concept. And with the expansion date set, On Broadway is now like a small business looking for new investment partners. (Yeah, it sounds corny, but it's true. :) ) The plan for On Broadway is this:

• Get a small group of people together that are currently level 70 or will be level 70 by mid-November. Re-rolls and transfers are welcome.
• With the patch now out, we'll be looking at achievements a lot. I'm a huge fan of the achievement system and it'll be a goal to accomplish as many of these as possible.
• Have the members of On Broadway in the new expansion not long after it comes out and working on leveling up at a leisurely pace.  Nothing frantic is necessary... it's just time for the next march up the hill.  :)
• As On Broadway progresses, we'll be going through all of the new instances, because seeing all of the content is a good thing.
• As On Broadway reaches level 80, we'll be preparing for and progressing a couple nights a week into the 10-man content. Tentative raiding times would be Tuesday and Thursday nights, probably starting around 7:30pm Central Time. On Broadway won't be hardcore raiders; we're just shooting for a couple nights a week that we're all together for a few hours a night to keep marching ahead.

To make this happen, we'll be looking to get a good mix of players across the spectrum of classes:  tanks, healers, melee DPSers, ranged DPSers, casters, crowd controllers, and of course Gnome Death Knights.  :)

The "end goal", and perhaps it's also the Utopian goal, is to have 25 people together a couple nights a week working on the 25-man version of the content, but I know how hard that is to do.  So we won't sacrifice the 10-man versions for sake of trying to only do 25-man stuff.  But it would be nice to get there.

Things that On Broadway will NOT be:

• As said before, On Broadway won't be hardcore raiders.  Two weeknights per week are about all it takes, I think.  The rest of the time... just enjoy the scenery.  And hey, it's gonna be a long road to 80 anyway.  So we're talking early 2009 for a lot of this stuff as it is.  :)
• On Broadway won't be a huge guild with 200+ members.  Honestly, I think we can keep it somewhere under 40 and be just fine.

My Experience:

I've been playing World of Warcraft since January 2006.  Pre-Burning Crusade, I got into a bit of the 20-man content (ZG, AQ20).  I never did see the 40-man content, which I regret.  Burning Crusade, I've been through Kara completely, leading a lot of the runs, and I've been to Gruul's Lair and Magtheridon.  I've also been through the first 4 fights in Zul'Aman, and hope to see the last 2 before the expansion gets here.
